1. Who we are

CostFerret (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an LLM cost attribution tool for AI-powered products. This page explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights over it.

2. What we collect

The only personal data we collect is your email address, submitted voluntarily when you join our waitlist. We do not collect names, phone numbers, payment information, or any other identifying data at this stage.

3. How we use it

We use your email address solely to:

• Notify you when CostFerret launches or opens early access.
• Send infrequent product updates directly relevant to the waitlist.

We will never sell, rent, or share your email with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Cookies and tracking

This website does not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics scripts. We do not track you across websites or build advertising profiles.

5. Data storage

Waitlist email addresses are stored securely in Supabase, a hosted PostgreSQL platform. Data is stored in the US (AWS us-east-1). Supabase is SOC 2 Type II certified.

6. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your email at any time. To exercise any of these rights, or to unsubscribe from all future communications, email us at privacy@costferret.com and we will respond within 5 business days.

7. Data retention

We retain waitlist email addresses until you request deletion, or until 12 months after CostFerret’s general availability launch — whichever comes first.

8. Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle your data, we will update the effective date above and, where practical, notify waitlist members by email before the change takes effect.
